why do parents openly break the law then get mad at their children if they do it?
keni asked:
mostly driving offenses, speeding, illegal overtaking, jumping a red light. also littering, cheating on all sorts of things. THEN they expect their children to be honest and true. no chance.

oh, and making false claims on holiday insurance for lost items, and stealing towels from hotels, all sorts of stuff
JundaKell - I see people with families driving though our village at 70 when the limit is 50, all along the motorways there are used disposable nappies. I know a family man who always claims for a lost camera when he has been on holiday. Some people lie on their tax returns then are surprised when their children steal. Ok, not everyone, not you and not me but quite a lot of folk do not see the contradiction

Because parents naturally want better for their kids than they had.
But not all parents lie, cheat and steal. Yes, we are guilty of speeding, littering, ,etc, and that doesn’t make it right, but we always want our children to have the best and be the best. Is that a crime?

Not all parents are what you just described above. Most parents set good examples for their kids to emulate. If parents do the opposite of what they preach, those are bad guardians whose kids should be taken away from them.

Because your parents are crooks. Most people would treat the minor stuff, like speeding etc, as just dumb and foolish, but most would also take things like false claims as they are: Theft.

Where is your proof? I’ve done none of those things. I’m law abiding and I expect my kids to be.
