What happens if you miss your international transfer?

I 'm curious. I have two hours to the next month in China. Apparently I have to spend with Chinese customs and may take a while. If I miss my flight because I 'm stuck in customs, what happens? * I have insurance on the tour. Both tickets (IE the connection) are the same airline.
