I’m traveling soon and since this is my first time flying I was wanted extra insurance?

mz c asked:

I’m scarred to fly, but I wanted to purchase extra insurance in case the unthinkable happens, does the airlines allow a person to purchase insurance other than if they lose your suitcase?

The lose of a suitcase is a very rare occurrence probably less than 1%. I have traveled on over 100 flights in my lifetime and have had a problem with luggage being lost. just make sure that if the luggage is to big dont try to bring it on a carry on. This is the occurrence in which most bags are lost. when the gate attendant tries to correct your mistake and bring the bag into the cargo.

items inside of suitcases are insured typically up to a $1000. I would not be packing large amounts of jewelery or money in my suitcase though.

    Google flight insurance,

It’s a waste of money, but if you want to throw it away on something that you will only collect when you die, knock yourself out
