this just happened to me too so i am going through the same process. I filed with my insurance then found out if I want the person who is responsible for the accidents insurance company to pay for it i have to file it with their insurance. If you file with yours then you are basically telling them that you want your insurance to pay for it, so if you want the other persons insurance to pay for it you have to call their insurance agency and report it with them.
