If I delay payment on crashed AVIS rental car will this affect my credit?

   It could affect your credit if they report the account as delinquent. Your best bet is to contact them and explain your situation. They would rather work with you than take legal action.

   so you got a rental car with no insurance? Yea right. Every car rental place I know (enterprise and AVIS) of MAKES you take so much out on insurance. If you opt of of their insurnace, they call YOUR car insurance company right then and there to see if your insurance is up to date AND will cover the rental car. So I wonder what you REALLY did to the car to make them come after you to fix it.
