Health insurance for my mum?

my mum is coming to visit me for 6 months from Peru. Should i get her a traveling insurance? or is there some type of inexpensive short term insurance here in the US? I live in miami

   they start at $25 and have offices all over the world so for traveling it’s just great..

   When in the USA there are government resources but I am not sure if they apply to non residents, If you have time to go through it, this has tons of links to all sorts of free medical help
