Do u need to pay for car insurance when the car owner is away on travels i.e.like 6mths & car is not used?

If your state requires insurance to keep your registration, then you either have to pay or turn in your tags. Otherwise, there may be a bench warrant waiting for you when you get back.

if the car is parked on private property and or stored at a storage facility but not in the street and also in my state i think the regitration has to be current if outside and even on the private property so call the licence bureau

Yes as long as a vehicle is registered then is must have insurance. The only time that a vehicle can not have insurance is if it is not operating condition and it has been un-registered because of this reason.

Yes as long as it’s registered you must have insurance. Believe it’s law in all states. Also, think about this, suppose something happens at your home while you’re gone, fire, thief, etc., won’t you want your car covered?

The dmv as you may be able to arrange to turn the dmv as you may have to suspend your comprehensive in while youre gone.
