How do you leave a job, that you really like because you need more pay?

Been at the same job for 6 year, have not gotten a raise in three…no benefits, no vacations, sick pay, insurance. Have not gotten a paid day off except legal holidays for 6 years. No raise in three. I am making $9.00 as an accountant doing the same work as my boss….no place for advancement but i like my boss and clients!
