I bought tickets on Monday. The rate has gone down a lot. Can I get a refund of the difference?

Momof3boys asked:

The difference in price is about $150. Should I buy travel insurance for $16 and cancel then rebook the flight? Am I even allowed to do this. I know I can still get the travel insurance.
Grindking53: What if I rebook through another travel site using the same airline and flights?

Did I just get screwed over?

Rat asked:

I’ve got to catch a flight on Friday, and because I don’t have a car, I’ve booked a cab to take me there.

The drive is just a hair over 18 miles and takes 27 minutes, according to Mapquest… and it will be costing me $34.

That seems like an awful lot to me. I’ve only ridden in a cab two times before and I don’t remember how much it was, but this seems pretty pricey for such a short drive.

I know that gas, cars, insurance, and employee salaries are expensive. I also know that they have to drive over to pick me up, and then back from the airport to their station. But still, it seems like a lot.

So did I get screwed over? How much do you think it should cost? (I live in Michigan’s UP, not like Detroit or New York or anything.)

why do parents openly break the law then get mad at their children if they do it?

keni asked:

mostly driving offenses, speeding, illegal overtaking, jumping a red light. also littering, cheating on all sorts of things. THEN they expect their children to be honest and true. no chance.

oh, and making false claims on holiday insurance for lost items, and stealing towels from hotels, all sorts of stuff
JundaKell - I see people with families driving though our village at 70 when the limit is 50, all along the motorways there are used disposable nappies. I know a family man who always claims for a lost camera when he has been on holiday. Some people lie on their tax returns then are surprised when their children steal. Ok, not everyone, not you and not me but quite a lot of folk do not see the contradiction
