I actually came across a Rugby World Cup promotion from Travel Insurance Web - they already claim to be the cheapest UK travel insurance provider and now are offering 20% off all policies bought before the end of the tournament to celebrate England's success in getting through to the semi-finals. I just got a quote based on 2 days to France - £3.80! You don't have to be travelling to the RWC to take advantage of the offer either! The answer is yes and I suggests you do!
