Where should I get travel insurance from for my mother in law? India or US?
Sridhar asked:
My MIL is traveling from India to US for 6 months. I did a quick analysis of the insurance plans available in India for her and they dont seem to be adequate. Most of them have a deductible of USD 400 or above and the providers here are mostly unknown.

Any suggestions of whom to look for either in India or in US?
Thanks in advance for your time.

I think you should be buying her insurance from India for the US destination. I don’t know anything about insurance companies in India. I can tell you about those in the USA, but, they would not be helpful in your mother in law’s case.

I used MultiNational Insurance for my daughter’s travel. They did not have a deductible. So far they have been good. You can probably do a google search on travel insurance and get lots of hits. We had a claim and so far they have paid.

You can check the FREE online quote engine at GaramChai.com
Based on the quote, you may decide on a policy that meets the need. The policy is provided by US Travel Insurance organization and you can use a credit card to pay
