Travel Insurance — Messa/Blue Cross Blue Shield, am I covered?

Hi there!

My mom is a teacher who has Messa/Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. I’m planning a trip to Asia this summer, and was curious to see whether or not there was any international travel coverage with her plan. I’m planning on calling the insurance company sometime within the next week, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this?

   You definitely have to call the company directly. Even if you spoke to someone who has the same company, that doesn’t mean they have exactly your situation or coverage. You really should look into travel insurance also. Most travel insurance includes really well rounded package that can cover all your concerns while traveling. Good luck and have fun!
