How quickly after buying travel insurance on-line do you receive it?

We’re traveling on Friday, it is now Sunday evening. Will we be automatically covered if we buy on-line or do we need to have something sent to us in order for us to be officially covered?

   I had an email sent to me on line when i bought travel insurance. I have pets and it helped completely
