Hello, Kat. Here is your solution. You can get great coverage from the industry leader and it can go into effect tomorrow. It does not matter that you are not at home. You can get a quote and buy the coverage over the Internet. It will cover you anywhere you go outside your home country, Australia. Of course, if something has happened during the time you were not covered, that will be excluded. Go to and click on the red phone booth next to TravelGuard. Read about “Worldwide Health” insurance and buy on-line if it suits you. The policy covers health issues and trip interruption issues as well.

At least for me… my health insurance will cover emergencies when I’m out of the country. I’m American though, I’m not sure about for others. Not sure if you can purchase another travel insurance policy though.

Call your home owners insurance agent and ask them. You could be covered all ready!
