Is it compulsory to get take travel insurance when we are flying via aeroplane or can we fly without it?

It is not compulsory but perhaps sensible.

There is no legal requirement for you to purchase travel insurance when traveling by air. Many do however, purchase vacation travel insurance, cruise cancellation insurance and the like to ensure peace of mind if in the event plans change o the unexpected should happen.

is not compulsory, just a peace of mind.
better if you’re flying international. Insurances will cover you (most of them) up to 500 bucks per person in case of travel delay (in case your flight cancels and you need to come with out of pocket expenses)
it will protect your luggage up to 200 bucks
it will protect lots of stuff that other way you will have to come out of pocket.
so is just peace of mind.
