David T asked:

My friend got into an accident the night before and i was wondering what action to take and what are the procedure.
-Since it’s the holiday weekend, i’ll wait till tuesday to call the insurance company to report it.
-after i call insurance company, what do they do? do they do research? ask me for picture of the scene? do they contact the other party immediately.
-when do they come to investigate the car and the scene?
-do i have to get a lawyer?
-no one was hurt at that time, how am i sure that they won’t say that they’re injured or something?
thanks a lot

Injury away on holiday?

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009
stevieboy asked:

If I was to go abroad lets say to the US and I was to injure myself and I required hospital treatment what are the processes in terms of the paying the bills. I’ve got travel insurance that covers medical expenses, so what happens after or before my treatment, do the doctors need to see my insurance documents so they can claim it off the insurance company or do I need to pay with my cash or card and claim back from the insurance company when I get home?

Was taken off family’s insurance, can I still drive their cars?

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009
ChesterT asked:

Ok, so I had my family take me off their insurance when I moved to Europe to study abroad. We were told that since it costs so much more to put a person back onto insurance after they’ve been taken off that it wasn’t worth it for a year. However, after this year abroad, I still have another 2 years at university in a city where I don’t want to have a car or drive in. Therefore, I’m fine with being off my family’s insurance for 3 years, hopefully it will make it worth it.

That’s not my question though. I’d like to know if I can still legally drive the vehicles insured by them (during the summer and holidays). What would happen if I got a ticket or into an accident? Would the insurance company itself have a fit (and does it depend on the company/coverage type)?

I am 20 years old, live/would drive in Minnesota, and the insurance company is Horace Mann. I don’t know the specifics of the coverage, though I know it is not just liability.

Thanks!

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009
Lucy asked:

hey guys.
my family and I in Australia has a vacation planned to go to Queensland, but my dad has an infection in his leg and is currently in hospital and will be impossible for him to come out in 2 days time when our plane flight is.

unfortunetly, we did not get travel insuarnce as my mum thought that travel insurance JUST meant if our luggage was stolen or somthing. Do you think we will be able to reschedule with a doctors certificate or ANY money back? Thanks.

I went to Singapore last year for holidays and I’m seriously thinking about living and working there. I could find a job in an insurance company. Compared to life in Europe, Singapore seems to be a paradise. Did I miss something when I visit?
